It’s about 3 good braiders in there. I been before and my braids were nice but Saturday, this is what they gave me. Small knotless for 270. Large parts. Braids weren’t neat, braids weren’t braided down. The girl who did my hair had a horrible attitude. She not only rushed with braiding so she could get to the next client ( I guess for money) she pulled and pulled my hair. I will never go to this shop again! They post the “nice” braids on Instagram. There was about 5 girls in there who braids were a mess! They’re getting too comfortable because they have a lot of clients but never again!
My favorite part of the visit was where they didn’t know that I also spoke their native language and could understand EVERYTHING they were saying. My braider called me unattractive, fat and made fun of my acne. Another woman who was sitting across from me with her daughters, they were making disparaging comments about her kids. My braids themselves were terrible, but I see why. It’s because they are too busy talking about people instead of focusing on quality of service. I also called the department of health, maybe we should be checking for licensure here!
My hair looks lovely, great service. Although my braids are really tight and uncomfortable to sleep in and it's been a week and they still hurt when I turn my head.
I'll still go back to get my hair done but I'll ask them not to braid so tight in the back of my head or my edges and I won't get this style.
But my hair looks very nice and neat.
The best 👌🏽 braiding shop in Philly. They are always crowded but excellent, neat service & they get you in & out quick. I suggest that you get there by 6:30am to get a spot or go mid day. …
10/10 Wait time was very reasonable for a walk in. I came there a little after 8:30 am and waited about an hour. I was told by another client to get there by 6:30 am to avoid wait time. Service time was very fast for medium boho knotless braids, curly ends. Very kind and professional stylists. Clearly they have a system that works. Would definitely go back!
My 4 stitch braids looked old immediately after she did them she slabbed each braid down with some type of gel or edge control after she was done to make it appear fresh and then charged me $140 for old looking braids that I had to take out. This is the second time I came here and each time I had a negative experience. People kept recommending this place to me but it is simply overrated and overpriced. I wish I would have just stuck with what I know instead of feeding into the hype.
The customer service is inconsistent. Professionalism clearly is not required. The recent 5 star ratings are coming from friends of the owner and/or people she begged. The salon is dirty and unsanitary. They do not sanitize combs, eat while doing hair, and do not clean up after finishing up with customers. One of the braiders argued with a child because the child didnot like her hair. The person who does the book is ignorant and always argues with customers. I wish i could upload videos from the shop. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!! Hopefully LNI will shut them down soon.
I had my hair done in medium knotless braids with Amy. The place was very professional, everyone can braid and they're fast. It took her about 3hrs and the parts were even all the way through .I would recommend this place to anyone and I will be back.❤️ Jersey Girl
